Less than twenty-four hours after Democrats racked up midterm wins, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, went back to a favorite line: wave away the idea of "enemies from within." Frank Gaffney answered him on Nov. 5 with the map, not a meme. Democratic Socialists of America and Muslim Brotherhood-aligned candidates had just been elected to federal and state offices. Treating that slate as ordinary American politics is how you lose a republic.
I spent more than three decades in the Air Force, enlisted at 17 as an EOD technician, and later served as Senior Advisor for Senior Service Colleges while the Secretary of War's task force scrubbed DEI out of senior service college curriculum. I know what an internal threat looks like when people in suits will not name it. Beshear's whitewash is not analysis. It is cover fire for a coalition that just gained power.
Michigan was not a quiet win
Breaking911 posted the receipts: the Muslim Brotherhood's official website celebrating Abdul El-Sayed's victory in Michigan. That is not a fringe blogger's take. That is the network marking its own scoreboard. When a foreign Islamist movement treats a U.S. Senate seat as a win for its project, Americans who still believe in the Constitution should treat that as intelligence, not a branding complaint.
Gaffney's warning is blunt. Marxists and jihadists are both inside the political system now, and the people who say so will be next in line for censorship and punishment. He urged President Trump to put the Muslim Brotherhood on the terrorist list. I agree. Florida already forced the issue on CAIR plus the Brotherhood under state statute. Branches of the Brotherhood abroad already sit on federal terror lists. Pretending the domestic infrastructure is a charity network is willful blindness dressed up as tolerance.
Sharia is a governing claim
That same broadcast day, Gaffney aired a Securing America clip with George Rasley. Rasley's warning is the one Republicans keep soft-pedaling: Democrats are normalizing Sharia as a civilizational alternative to constitutional liberty. Candidates whose commitments collide with the oath of office should face that conflict in public, not get seated with a shrug and a press release.
I will not dress this up as a debate about private belief. Political Islam aims at law, courts, schooling, and power. Sharia as governing authority is incompatible with the Constitution I swore to support and defend. Officeholders who will not say that plainly are not protecting religious freedom. They are laundering a rival legal system through the civic machinery of this country.
Name the network. Cut it off.
President Trump should designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization at the federal level, end the charade that its American fronts are ordinary civic groups, and force Brotherhood-linked charities chasing federal money or access to prove they stand apart from that enterprise. Florida showed a state can move. A GOP Congress working with this White House can close the national gap.
Beshear wants Americans to treat "enemies within" as a slur. The Brotherhood celebrated Michigan on its own site. DSA and Brotherhood-aligned politicians just took more offices. Call it what it is, put the network on the list, and end the habit of governors gaslighting the country once the ballots are counted.
This is not a midterm mood swing
Midterm maps change. Doctrine does not. The Brotherhood's Explanatory Memorandum, entered as trial evidence in the HLF terror-finance prosecution, described a "grand Jihad" aimed at wiping Western civilization out from the inside. Americans who read that document and then watch Brotherhood-aligned figures take oaths of office are not hysterics. They are paying attention.
Beshear's line works only if voters never link DSA economics, Islamist legal projects, and the candidates who refuse to renounce either. Gaffney connected them. Breaking911 showed the Brotherhood celebrating Michigan in its own words. Rasley named Sharia as the civilizational stake. What remains is whether elected Republicans will act, or whether they will keep treating this as a culture-war side quest while the institutions fill up.
